Train track blown up near DG Khan

Staff Report

MULTAN: Unidentified men blew-up the railway track between Darvaish Lashari and Dera Ghazi Khan rail stations at midnight on Wednesday, shortly after the Lahore-bound Chiltan Express passes by.

This was third blast on track in DG Khan this year. “A large area of the track between Kot Adu and DG Khan was damaged when a bomb exploded near level crossing no 218 some 90 miles west of Multan at midnight,” Railways SSP Multan Ahmed Mukhtar said. “The track was repaired immediately and it is clear for traffic,” Multan Divisional Superintendent Irfan Gauhar said.
