Shaukat Aziz discusses Balochistan security with Yousuf

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has talked to Balochistan
Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf about beefing up security for key
national installations in the province. The government and the
ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) have also established contacts
with Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Nawab Akbar Bugti and
discussed the same issue, a senior official told The News. PML
President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Secretary-General Mushahid
Hussain Sayed have contacted Bugti and his close colleagues. Baloch
leaders gave explanation to them about the action in the Sui gas
field. The official said the PML leaders were told that Bugti's
residence was also attacked and one rocket was fired at it. PML
leaders asked Bugti to show patience and play his role in protecting
the national installations, he added. To improve the situation,
National Security Council (NSC) Secretary and key aide of President
Musharraf Tariq Aziz has also talked to Bugti, the official said
